Long Read - Salman Khan films

Been thinking of doing this post for so long and finally got around to do this. My personal thoughts and opinion on meri favourite hero ka film!

The films are listed from the earliest to the latest.

Biwi Ho To Aisi - Not yet watched

Maine Pyaar Kiya - Didn't watched it until after 2000. I was curious about the film after reading on Salman's fanclub forum with fans singing praises for this film and the innocence of it. Salman was so young and scrawny. The film is cutesy at the beginning and sad towards the end. Favourite scene is when Prem applied ointment on Suman's feet while closing his eyes. Such innocence! 

Baaghi: A Rebel for Love -  Love 2 of the songs in this film, Kaisa Lagta Hai and Chandni Raat Hai. 

Sanam Bewafa - I was amused to find out his character name in this film is Salman Khan. Didn't really like the part about his wife being sent back home shamed and he as the husband unable to do anything about it. 

Patthar Ke Phool - Not yet watched but I have watched one of the song Kabhi Tu Chhalia Lagta Hai which is a fun song. 

Kurbaan - Watchable. Funny scene during an intense fight scene and both Salman and Ayesha started dancing out of nowhere. 

Saajan - Not yet watched. But I saw some comments about the film and how Salman ended up not getting any one at the end of the film. 

Love - Angry young Salman. Last song when he performs while Maggie was in the hospital was funny to me. The song and his image just does not match.

Suryanshi - Watched once and it's enough. Questionable film but believable. The execution could be better I think. 

Jaagruti - Not yet watched

Nishchaiy - Not yet watched

Ek Ladka Ek Ladki - Classic go to if I don't know what to watch. Several songs are nice. 

Chandramukhi - I think I have watched this film before but I have very vague memories of it. 

Dil Tera Aashiq - Watched 1 or twice only. Nothing memorable. 

Hum Aapke Hain Koun! - Salman in his playful era and playing a younger brother. 

Chaan Kaa Tukdaa - Not yet watched but somehow it reminds me of Chandramukhi.

Andaz Apna Apna - Watched 1 or twice only. The most memorable scene is when he found out who Karisma and Raveena is and laughing at Aamir. 

Sangdil Sanam - Not yet watched

Karan Arjun - I don't really like this film as there's too much fighting. I like the mother-sons reunion better than each couple story. 

Veergati - Not yet watched

Majhdhaar - Not yet watched

Khamoshi: The Musical - I think I watched this only once. Always thought this was Manisha's film. 

Jeet - Don't recall much except Karisma was with Sunny Deol but got married to Salman and later on Sunny Deol reappeared. 

Dushman Duniya Ka - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Judwaa - Funny twin story. Salman plays a twin, one naughty and one super goody. 

Auzaar - I love you I love you I love you hoo! Hahaha the epic song and the funny scene afterwards.

Love love Tujhe Khas Fursat song. Salman was just so quietly cool throughout the song. 

Deewana Mastana - Special Appearance. I remember watching this film unknowingly and suddenly Salman appearing at the end of the film.

From here on, I have watched most of Salman's 2000s films. The films are still watchable, does not feel aged and the songs are everlasting.

Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya - Guilty pleasure film. He's all goofy until he's angry. I like O O Jaane Jaana the most! 

Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai - Salman plays a father to a son he didn't know he had. Songs are nice. 

Bandhan - I like Salman's character in this film as Raju. Guilty pleasure watching Rambha tricking him as having night blindness. Another part I like is when he took the parang knife to hunt down the baddies before earlier promising his mother he won't do anything to them. 

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The legendary entry song Saajanji Ghar Aaye! I used to fight opinions and thought Aman and Anjali should have ended up together, that Anjali and Rahul were selfish. But recently someone commented that it's better for the film to end that way. Imagine if Anjali got married with Aman and their marriage wasn't happy and he suffers. I started to think about this and realised it's better that Aman didn't get married to Anjali. But the bitter feeling will always be there. 

Sar Utha Ke Jiyo - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Jaanam Samjha Karo - Sexy Salman. Love Hua and when he enters wearing black shirt and combat pants 😍

Biwi No. 1 - Love the songs in this film but I don't like his character because extra marital affair.

Sirf Tum - Special Appearance. Watched briefly during Salman's scene

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam - I think I only watched this film once. Probably didn't watch it again because of their real life breakup. 

Hello Brother - Love this film eventhough he plays a ghost. Teri Chunnariya!

Hum Saath Saath Hain - Salman at his gentlest and quiestest. I enjop watching him play Prem. He is quite obedient but silently rebellious when necessary. I like watching Prem and Preeti scenes together. 

Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge - Salman and Karisma is always enjoyable to watch. The scene where he "saved" her from the train tracks. Oof sexy but err annoying.

Chal Mere Bhai - Another Salman and Karisma film! Chori Chori Sapno is my most favourite song in this film. 

Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega - I like the songs more than the film though the film is still nice to watch. 

Dhai Akshar Prem Ke - Salman's special appearance as the truck driver. The way he drove was sexy but not advisable.

Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye - I didn't like that Salman didn't know how to fight in this film. I remember the fake shaadi scene gave me goosebump.

Chori Chori Chupke Chupke - The title song is love. I don't think we saw Salman taking off his shirt in this film. 

Tumko Na Bhool Payenge - Thrilling film especially after we know his real identity. 

Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam - I think I watched this once. Didn't like the jealous Shah Rukh. But I also blamed both Salman and Madhuri. Was quite surprised to see Aishwarya Rai cameo. 

Yeh Hai Jalwa - Handsome and fashionable Salman! Except when he wore that little denim shorts which were way too short. Love almost all the songs.

Love at Times Square - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Stumped - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Tere Naam - Radhe and his curtain bang fringe. Funny every time he pushed his hair aside. Can't bring myself to watch after Oodhni. 

Baghban - The most softest Salman I have ever seen besides Hum Saath Saath Hain. Salman only appeared at the beginning and ending of the film. 

Garv: Pride & Honour - Violent with disturbing theme of r*pe. Satisfying watching Salman slaying all the bad people. 

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi - I hated Sunny. Still don't get how his ill treatment to his best friend is helping at all. 

Phir Milenge - Watched once. Salman plays a character with HIV and I learnt he took this role for free and to create awareness.

Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa - Film was a little slow for my liking. Angry Salman was amusing to watch. The scene after his wife passed and a robber broke into his house yet Salman fed him was emotional to watch. 

Lucky: No Time For Love - Handsome Salman! The escaping part was quite boring. 

Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? - I was a little jealous watching this film when it was released knowing Salman and Katrina were dating during this film. 

No Entry - Eee I didn't like playboy Salman. Most of the songs are catchy and fun. 

Kyon Ki - Sad watching Salman act as a mental patient and his backstory was more sad. I like watching him being childlike when he was with Kareena. Hated the ending. 

Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar - Didn't like the story after marriage life. I thought it was quite evil that a mother doesn't want her own child and more evil for a father to separate mother from their child. 

Saawan - We rented the videotape for this film as it was advertised as Salman's film. Watched for hours and got irritated that we were cheated and Salman appeared. This should be tagged as long cameo and not Salman's film 😠

Baabul - Heavy themed film and I think both Amitabh Baachan and Rani are the main actors of this film. 

Jaan-E-Mann - The first time I watched this film, I thought it was messy and all over the place. First time I remember seeing Salman cry convincingly. 

Salaam-e-Ishq - Salman as the mysterious and charming saviour.  

Partner - Was surprised Salman was not paired opposite Katrina in this film. Funny romcom. 

Marigold - Not convinced by Salman playing dance teacher. 

Om Shanti Om - Special Appearance during the title song. It's a joy to watch his entrance. 

Saawariya - Special Appearance as Imaan. The quiet mysterious Imaan. 

God Tussi Great Ho - It felt like the makers wanted to recreate Salman-Priyanka pairing from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Didn't really like the film. One or two songs are nice.

Hello - Special Appearance - Watched briefly during Salman-Katrina's scene

Heroes - Won't call this Salman's film as he's only in 1/3 of the film. His segment was nice to watch and the song with Preity still memorable. 

Yuvraaj - I like watching Salman and Anil Kapoor scenes the most. 

Wanted - Is he a bad person or is he a good person. The reveal that he's an undercover police made a difference. Songs are all good. 

Main Aurr Mrs Khanna - Salman looks old in this film opposite Kareena. Didn't like the husband decision to leave his wife when he's trying to settle things. I like Tum Ne Socha because of Salman's headband and his overall laidback sexy look.

London Dreams - Weird film. Don't really like it except for the song Barson Yaaron as Salman's look was different.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani - Special Appearance Watched briefly during Salman scene

Veer - I find the film too long. The final battle between father and son could be better. It was so anti-climax and did not make sense that they were fighting a common enemy and suddenly father and son fight each other. 

Prem Ka Game - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Dabangg - I cannot recall what I thought my first reaction for this film is. But I like that the film is an original and Salman plays a character he has not played before. Tere Mast Mast was instant hit. 

Tees Maar Khan - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Isi Life Mein! - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Yeh Dooriyan - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Bodyguard - Film was a little slow but the songs are all good especially Teri Meri. 

Tell Me O Khuda - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Ek Tha Tiger - Love this film and the songs.

Son of Sardaar - Special Appearance. Watched Salman during the ending song 

Dabangg 2 - A little excited for Dabangg 2 after what Dabangg did. But it felt like a cut and paste from the original film to make a redundant sequel. 

Ishkq in Paris - Special Appearance

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Jai Ho - Salman as the crazy biter. Didn't really like this film especially the suicide part when a student couln't take exam. I think it's too exaggerated. The pairing with Daisy Shah also wasn't convincing.

O Teri - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Main Tera Hero - voiceover special - Not yet watched

Lai Bhaari - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Fugly - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Kick - The trailer got me excited and I remember tweeting lots about it especially the bicycle and train scene. The film overall was ok but the overused word of "Kick" really irritated me. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan - All time favourite film. Even those who doesn't like Salman ended up liking this film. He's just so innocent in this film. Combine with the cute Munni and the beautiful sceneries, this emotional film will be remembered forever. 

Hero - Salman doesn't act in this film. But the song he sang oof, Main Hoon Hero Tera. Made me swoon

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - Quite excited for this film since it's a Sooraj Barjatya but it's different from Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain. The title song is catchy and I like Jalte Diye.

Sultan - Wasn't a fan of Anushka Sharma thus I wasn't really excited for this film. One of the most memorable scene is the emotional part where Salman looked at his reflection on the mirror when he's at his most heaviest. To think that he was once someone with six pack and nice physique. I wonder how and what he thought when he saw himself. 

Tubelight - I think we had high hope for this film as it's directed by same director of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman with young kid formula didn't really work here. Most reviews criticized Salman's acting in this film. But I think he's supposed to be that way because his character is a mentally challenged person. The film is a little slow but the scene where he's waiting for this brother to return is sad and emotional.  

Judwaa 2 - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Tiger Zinda Hai - I was excited to watch this to learn more about Tiger and Zoya life after their escape. But the film focused more on the agent part and rescuing others. It's still an overall good action film. 

Welcome to New York - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Race 3 - Read comments about how Salman purify the series and it doesn't work. Race 1 and Race 2 were sexy films and Race 3 became a family story lol Finally watched it after hesitating for many many times. Action packed movie but lacks the content and story. The songs does not flow nicely. The storyline too confusing and I gave up trying to understand what and who is playing who though I know Anil Kapoor's character is the ultimate villain. 

Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Loveyatri - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Zero - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Notebook - Special Appearance - Watched the film but didn't spot Salman

Bharat - From 7 to 70. Since the film also features Katrina, I was joking how it might be their real life story of being together in the end. But that of course didn't happen as Katrina is now happily married with Vicky.

Dabangg 3 - Watched bits here and there. Dabangg is the OG and should have stop there. D2 and D3 should not have been made as they're just lazy and repeating same thing from the original Dabangg. 

Radhe - Not yet watched. I did not realised this was a real film. It sounded like a spin-off Wanted's Radhe character and nothing original. 

 

Antim - Not yet watched

Godfather - Remembered parents loudly calling me while they were watching this film telling me Salman is in this Tamil movie. I watched it but didn't like that Salman was playing like a right hand man to the main actor of the film. 

Ved - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Pathan - This is a Shah Rukh Khan's film with cameo from Salman to combine both RAW agents in the "YRF agentverse world". Salman's entry is fun to watch and it's always a treat watching these 2 Khans in one frame. 

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan - Excited to watch this as the storyline seems original. 1st part and 2nd part seems like two different films glued together. The whistling to wake the hero was so cringey. I also question the girlfriend's brother decision to stay away and not help him with his fight when he fought for them earlier on. 

Tiger 3 - Better than Tiger 2 as it's more Tiger and Zoya's problems than others. 

Singham Again - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Baby John - Special Appearance - Not yet watched

Sikandar - The trailer reminds me of his many other similar crime-fighting films. Watched the film and overall felt meh. The action scenes are weak. The storyline not believable. I felt like the story making was lazy and I even caught Salman twice in scene almost shutting his eyes and this is an action film.

As much as I love this man, I can't bring myself to watch some of his older films or those he plays special appearance. 

The past recent films were mostly misses. I miss watching Salman in an original film with lesser unnecessary fight scenes which I can barely differentiate his fight scenes in one film vs another similar film. Hoping for a mature emotional adult story line with perhaps Karisma or Rani as the female lead.

Long Read - That Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez movie titled Kick

Kick, staring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez was released on 2014. Fast forward a few years later and in 2019 there's talks about Kick 2.

I always thought I didn't like Kick, mostly the storyline and the word "Kick" that was thrown to us the audience every few minutes until I search on twitter for my handle and hashtag kick.

Let's go back a little before we do to the actual film..

It seems like I was very involved when the poster and trailer was released:

I most definitely remember this happened. 

Then I watched the film when it was released. Went out of the way and all the way to Yishun just to watch Kick:

I most definitely don't remember writing a blog for Kick until this one here. 

My thoughts after watching Kick:

When I really think about this film now, I think it's a decent film but it's not really a film that I would want to watch over and over again. But I still enjoy the songs and I still do get goosebumps when I see Jac's solo dance in Jumme Ki Raat.

Speaking of Jacqueline, she's like the sweetest (I might be biased). Randomly replied to her IG post and definitely did not expect a reply but here it is from the woman herself!

 

I think I'll end this post with this picture here. I didn't like him wearing tux and didn't like the french beard on him then. But people change with time and here I am in 2019 saying I like him in tux and the french beard he had in Kick did make him look sexy. Maybe in 2029 I'll go back to not liking them. Well who knows what can happen in the future 😛

Quick Update - Twitter Last Time vs Now

Twitter today isn't as fun as it was last time. Probably because I'm older now and not into all the trending etc.

Sometimes I will randomly do a search of old tweets and I will find gems like these:

There won't be tweets like these anymore on my own timeline. I tweet mostly about food, mini-reviews of films I have watched, some Bollywood here and there and RTs of Salman Khan pictures.

Sometimes I feel like I have more things to say last time, more opinion to share. It's so different now. Or maybe I'm just lazier now.

Long Read - Let Them Go

Letting go of something, especially one that is so dear and close to your heart is never easy.

That was exactly how I felt letting go of these prized possessions. You would definitely know why. Just look at all the handsome faces! Gosh I felt so sad to finally have to let them go :(

Growing up, I used to buy magazines randomly. But as the years pass I would buy selectively, that is only when Salman Khan is featured on the cover. Bias much. I know. Fangirl for life!

 

  Love all the covers but my favourite got to be the left one below. 

Honestly I do not know why I was always rushing to get the magazine each time I know Salman is on the cover. The content and write-up in the magazines on him are mostly things that I already know or would eventually know since I am on Twitter following multi Salman fanclub accounts.

During a recent major cleaning up, we had to dispose old books and papers and stuff which cannot be kept anymore. In the midst of all the clutter were these magazines. As there is no space to keep them and realising I would have to be separated from them one day, I decided on impulse to throw all of them away. My younger self would have taken the time to tear all the covers from the magazine and keep them in her organizer.  

Some time later, I asked my sister and brother if they saw this black file which I have kept since I was 13 years old. There are some old pictures, random memos and A4 sized pictures of selected Bollywood artists which I kept in the file. Of course one of it is Salman's picture. According to my brother, I said to just throw it away. I must have acted on impulse again as I did not remember about the file at all during that moment. The file and its contents which has been painstakenly created since I was 13 years old is all gone in one brief moment!

Though I was upset and sad, there is no way to retrieve the file and its content back. I realised it was time to let go. Though the physical material is no longer with me, the memories will always remain.

So along with the magazines above which is now only left with pictures of them, my file containing memories since I was a teenager is now no longer with me. Sometimes, it seems as if I am letting go of my youth. Ok I think I better stop. This feel so melodramatic.

These have been stored in my phone's notes for some time and I think it is time I publish these thoughts here.

I feel terrible that I am not happy for you.

In the past I would share the happiness and like everyone else I waited for you to make the big announcement, that you will be tying the knot with the special person. But this time round it's different.

This time, the feeling is all but happy. There's an unsettling feeling that I find hard to explain. Like there's no sincerity. Each time there's new updates I kept brushing them aside as I'm very confident that it's just some rumours which would eventually dies off. You're afterall the most eligible bachelor and everyone can't wait to see you settle down and the lucky one that you finally choose to spend the rest of your life together. 

Like the line out of Maine Pyaar Kiya, I too feel like I love you too much that it hurts. It's weird to think I would feel such way seeing that we have never met, never cross path and never saw each other in person before. 

So how do I explain this feeling? Obsessed? I do not think so. As much as I love you I believe I still stand firm on reality ground that you are there and I am here and it's near impossible that we would meet and fall in love and be married to each other. So definitely I'm very much still sane and sound as I might sound crazily and madly in love with you. 

All I want is for you to be happy. I've seen you over the years and I very much wish that you be happy always because you deserve it. I love seeing you smiling laughing be happy whenever you are around children. It's like you're smiling from your eyes and it's all coming straight from your heart. 

Being the sane person I am, I'm sure there will be one day finally when you do decide to get married and have your own family. I wish nothing but the best for you. 

I'm not sure how it'll be when you are finally someone's husband. But you'll still be the same person I have always known you as. I doubt anything would change once you're married. I believe I will continue to love you as my love for you didn't just grow over the night but rather it grow over the years and it just gets stronger day by day. 

To me, you'll always be my first love and I'll always have you in a special place in my heart. 

Love forever and always. Kyun ki tu hai mere pehla pehla pyaar hain.

Never met you but from the way I speak of you, it seems like we've known each other for long. I call you Salman, not Salman Khan. 

I admire how you are not shaken by all the hateful and hurtful words and choose to keep quiet. Yet you make your voice heard when you feel that it's needed.

It hurts sometimes when I see people mocking you. But I have since come to term that as much as there's people like me who love you, there'll be people who hate you too for whatever reason they might have. It's better to focus on the good things because why should I waste energy to feed the negativity?

It's impossible to make everyone like or love you but I know I'll continue liking you and loving you as long as I could. 

Seeing you smile and laugh melts my heart. Seeing you in pain breaks them and I just felt like giving you a warm hug. So please smile and laugh more!

I've had people telling me I'm crazy for being so obsessed with you. I've had people questioning why I choose to like someone like you, when there are plenty of othet better men around.

I can't answer them and desribe to them exactly why I fell in lovewith you. But I try to when I see them trying to understand this whole pagalpan

I don't know when this love will last.  Hopefully forever and always, for as long as I could. 

Salman, my no. 1 favourite man.

Quick Update - I guess the answer is "No".

The title of this post is the answer to a question I often ask myself. Will I ever stop loving Salman Khan? Will I ever get bored of this man one day and decide enough is enough and remove him from my life? At this point of time, I can confidently say the answer to these questions would be "NO".

Can you resist this adorable man? I can't.

Similarly, I often wonder if I would get bored of Bollywood and Hindi films one day.. Having a twitter account somehow prevents me from being cut away from all the Bollywood news. Of course there are days I find twitter absolutely dry and boring and will not bother checking for updates up to a few days. But naturally I will check my timeline and be drawn back to Bollywood. Of course having a HUGE crush on Salman Khan does not help. I would always want to know if there is any new tweets from him even setting the notifications on so that I will be notified once he decides to tweet anything new. To date, the notification is set specially for him only.

The latest film I watched, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and two new songs Deewani Mastani and Gerua somehow restored my faith in Bollywood and Hindi films.

For quite some time now, Bollywood seems similar to Hollywood and the special factor of Hindi films was missing. Watching some new Bollywood films is just like watching some Hollywood films with the addition of songs and dance routine. At least that was how I feel sometime. With the three special mentions in the previous paragraph, I got back what I had been missing from Bollywood.

Not sure why but looking at all of Salman's photos I had saved over the years and listening to Gerua is making me cry.. Not just tears in my eyes but tears rolling down my cheeks kind of crying. Yeh kya hua..?

What is wrong with me!

Long Read - Salman Khan & Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Somewhat how it all started..

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan reunites again after their success with Ek Tha Tiger and this time with Bhajrangi Bhaijaan. 

Just a quick fact, the film is currently on its 3rd week and already it's making 300crores. I promised myself on twitter that I will not tweet or retweet status that indicates the collection of this film. But this is a blog post so I am allowed some leniency I hope :D

Where do I even start?

Bajrangi Bhaijaan, unlike Ek Tha Tiger is a heartfelt and heartwarming film. It discusses the conflict between India and Pakistan and religion differences without being too direct in your face.

A rather simple plot of an Indian man, Pawan played by Salman, wanting to help Munni, the voiceless Pakistani girl, return to her home in Pakistan after being stranded in India. The beauty of the film lies in how Pawan sincerely wanted to help Munni return to her home even though he has a problem of his own. With his girlfriend's support, played by the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor, Pawan goes all out to help Munni even if it means risking his own life. Together with a helpful reporter, played by Nawaz, who initially wanted to earn a name in the news industry, they went on a mission to reunite Munni with her family and her home. 

It is so heartwarming to see the chemistry between Salman and Harshali during the teaser and trailer that I remember saying I did not mind if Kareena was not in the film to play Salman's love interest. The film would have work fine as well! 

After seeing all the great positive reviews, we finally went to watch this film on a Saturday at 9.50pm! All the love only for Salman :D

Only 5 minutes into the film and I was already crying. Was teased by my brother and sister badly for crying when the film has just started but I did not care. To be emotionally invested so fast with a film must mean something. I cried, smiled, laughed, cried again, laughed, cried again and again and finally was so happy at the end of the film. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is honestly a heartfelt film. I guess it was made with so much love that the love multiplied and that is why it became such a success within such short time period. After Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kabir Khan has officially becomes one of my favourite director. I feel like Kabir brings out the best and brought out the actor in Salman. 

The character Salman played in this film is different from his usual Hero persona. In this film, you can't help pitying him and later you just felt like giving him a big hug for being the sincere man that he is. 

Before I watched the film, I was in love with Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata and was so fascinated with nature's beauty captured and showcased during the song to the audience. 

After watching the film, I have fallen in love with Tu Jo Mila.. 

A bonus song for Bajrangi Bhaijaan that was not included as part of the film. Initially I was quite upset that they wasted such a good fun song. But after watching the film, I can now see what Salim Khan saw when he suggested to Kabir not to include this fun song into the film or attach it as a credit ending just like how Mashallah was for Ek Tha Tiger. 

It does not felt right not ending this post with a couple of Salman Khan's pictures so here they are..

Long Read - Ek Ladka Ek Ladki

There's always a time when you would get stuck with a particular song because of various reason. Either the song is the current hit song or simply because you relate to that song so much that you keep listening to that particular song over and over until the next song comes along.

Currently, I am hooked to two songs from Salman Khan's older film, Ek Ladka Ek Ladki. Being Salman's ardent fan, I'm guilty of not watching this film properly yet. Have watched it halfway and basically I know the storyline and the ending. Well, I'll watch this film sometime surely plus some other of his older films too (it's quite a list :P)

Coming back to the songs I'm hooked now, first one is Choti Si Duniya Mohabbat. Basically the tune of this song is so Hindi and soothing if you know what I mean. It's so rare to get such tune and melody in Hindi films nowadays! Well time has changed so not complaining :)

Love the words particularly these:

Choti si dunia mohabbat ki hai mere pas

Another song which I like is Kitna Pyaar Tumhe Karte Hain. Similar tune like the Choti Si Dunia but on a slightly happier tune. If you listen to both songs, Choti Si Dunia has a kinda sad undertone to it. Maybe it's just me but that's what I notice :)

Love Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan's voice too and I just feel like these two suits Salman best, especially Kumar Sanu. Sad that he doesn't sing for Salman anymore..


So Ek Ladka Ek Ladki is an older film of Salman Khan and Neelam released on 18 July 1992. Salman was so skinny in this film I find it hard to believe he was seriously that skinny hehehe

Long Read - Salman Khan Appreciation - Kyon Ki

I don't usually do this, not to this extent at least. What I usually do when I find him too irresistible is usually tweet about him, look at his pictures or Instagram him.

But yesterday when I was watching Kyon Ki, I can't help gushing over how good looking Salman was in this film. Though the film did not do well at the box office, well that is beside the point.

At almost most frames, he simply look amazing! Obviously he has since age but he sure age nicely I would say.

Coming back to Kyon Ki, while watching the songs my mind was going into overdrive at planning how perfect it would be to capture those moments when he just look amazing. Deep inside my head I know there are GIFs on the Internet so after the film, I did some googling. Confession. I did not watch the entire full film as it was just too depressing. I can't bring myself to watch how he got treated towards the end of the film. Plus the ending of the film is just too much. If you have watched the film, you would know what I mean. For those of you who has not watched it and don't understand what I'm saying, this is no bakwaas. Go watch the film and you'll understand perfectly what I meant :)

Since I am still very much into Salman Khan still, I shall find time to one day write a proper post on him. I think I have before but I can always write another one. Because just one post on Salman is not enough. Just like how I just can't get enough of him. 

Long Read - Cinderella here still waiting for her Prince Charming

The clock struck 12 and yet I'm still not asleep.

I was supposed to write a blogpost tonight remembering my days as students in Ngee Ann Poly especially the still-strong memories of having to lug my laptop around in those days. You see we didn't have internet connection when I just started Poly. I'll remember to write about it in another post some day.

LOL. I just can't stop this obsession of mine, can I? Growing up watching Hindi films and later found him good-looking, started reading up on him, followed his news through out the years and yet, I'm still so very in love with him. I hope just one day when I finally found the person I'm meant to be with, the love will be the same as what I'm feeling for Salman Khan. The always there love..
