Long Read - Charlie And Me

This lazy afternoon, I had nothing to do.. Hence, I decided to watch TV and I chanced upon a movie that was playing.. At first glance, I thought it was another children theme movie.. Since there was nothing else to watch, I continue watching this movie, Charlie And Me. It turns out to be a good movie and I felt satisfied and relieved that I watched it till the end. This movie taught me a lot about life which I tend to miss. Its about the close relationship between a grandfather, Charlie and his grandchild, Casey. Casey shares a very close bond with Charlie since her dad is occupied with his work all the time. Charlie taught Casey how to live the world shares thoughts and reflections with Casey, a very smart girl. The story starts to happen after she saved Charlie when he had a heart attack. Despite being a very young girl, Casey took a very important decision for her Gramp by refusing to give permission to the doctor on the pretext of her dad's instruction. Since then, Casey spends quality time with Charlie and learn many valuable lesson from her lovely grandfather. At a glance, it seems that Casey's dad is a very typical busy dad who's too occupied with his work to spen any time with his child. Instead, he is keeping himself busy in order to forget the reality that his wife has died. Its been 8 years since Casey's mom death but her dad refuses to embrace reality. He gave the role of taking care of Casey to Charlie. However, Charlie knew his time is running out and he wants his son to start accepting the fate. This movie is a very touching story which teaches me many life learning lessons. The ending is sad but it relays the message that everyone will die when their time is up. I was really moved by this movie and I would regret it if I didn't watch it to the end.

Here's some lessons I learned from this heart warming movie:
1) When you have stage fright, just take a deep breath, relax and find a familiar and kind eyes. Speak to that person as if she/he is the only person there.(I learnt this from someone, somewhere before and it really helps.)

2) Don't mourn a person's death. Instead, imagine what it would be like if you have one more day to live with that person. It would make you smile.

3)Never belittle a person's age. Sometimes, a younger person might be wiser than an older person even if the older person might be an expert.

In summary, Charlie And Me is really good movie..

Quick Update - Manja Lara

This is a malay drama aired on Suria every Saturday.. At first, I don't really like the story plot.. But after catching the 2nd episode, I find the story interesting and I can't wait to know the ending of Manja Lara.. My favourite character in this drama series must ne Detective Rizal.. He's so fierce and serious yet he's an interesting character.. I'm attracted to the way Rizal handles the Manja's case..

Quick Update - Saturday 22nd Nov

I've finally done with my report.. Glad its over.. Its tiring just to prepare one report.. I watched Ghost Whisperer yesterday.. Its a great serial.. Love the plot.. The title might give the idea of a scary ghost plot.. But after watching up till the 4th season, I find that each week plot has a sad ending and it makes me cry.. Each time Melinda helps a ghost to cross over, I can't help but feel moved by the scenes..



Next week will be the season finale.. Hopefully Supernatural will be aired after Ghost Whisperer.. This is another series that I love watching.. I find it similar to Ghost Whisperer but Supernatural is a more serious ghost hunting than Ghost Whisperer.. There's two character in Supernatural but I prefer Dean much much better.. His brotherly aura appeals to me..

Long Read - Finally..

After several tiring editings and stuffs, i completed my report due for submission last friday.. I thought I would never make it as I was still at scratch last Monday..

Now, I've learnt 2 important things from there.. 1)Organization 2)Discipline
What do I mean by that??

Organization.. I realise I have to be organized right at the beginning so that I know what I have to write.. Without this factor, I would never know what to write and where to begin..

Disciplne.. This is the most crucial factor of all.. This is the factor that forms the foundation to everything else.. Discipline, or to be exact, Self-discipline is crucial.. It makes you to follow what's expected,to go according to plans and to most importantly, BE DISCIPLINE.. For me, Discipline will guide me in my life.. To distinguish what's right and wrong..To complete my tasks accordingly.. In total, discipline help me to be organized..

Im starting to love my work.. But at the same time, i'm missing my school life.. I really miss the student life which I might have taken for granted for the past last years.. Comparing school life and work life, which will you choose?? There are pros and cons to both.. Lets see my personal analysis for it..

School
- Think for exams and projects that will be due
- Learn as everyday passes by
- Get allowance from my parents
- Mentally and physically challenging

Work
- Think of completing assigned tasks without mistakes
- Learn things asap to be on track
- Earn your own pay
- Mentally challenging

Well.. This analysis is only a general one.. Different people might have different analysis.. For now, this is how I view it.. For me, work life is more stressful as we have to bear responsibility to what we are doing.. For student life, we are there with one purpose which is to earn the Diploma or Certificate at the end of the day.. At the same time, we enjoy the time with our peers so that life won't be too lonely.. I'm realising how good life as a student is..

Long Read - Never thought of it..

Some things about me.. I'm now in my attachment programme.. I'l be having it for abot 6 months and right now, two full months have past by.. Its amazing how time flies without us realising.. Sometimes, you just wish that time would past by quickly.. But, without you actually realising, the time whizzes past you and when you look back, you'l wonder when all the precious time has gone to..

I never thought I would be working at these places.. For now, i've been working in Singapore's two prime areas.. One known as the Prime Commercial Area..

The other is the well-known shopping belt of Singapore.. Whenever I'm walking to my workplace, I'l wonder if its actually a dream... I never once thought of myself walking together with all the people in these areas heading to our individual workplace..I never imagine myself in these places.. At times, I actually feel proud to be able to work here..

Perhaps twenty years from now, I can look back and say,"I've been in that place before.. I've actually work there before"
