Looking at these photos made me want to visit Taiwan again. The luscious green and blue captured on my camera just makes it look so dreamy..
The hotel we stayed in was Amba Hotel. Some fond memories here:
- One of the male hotel reception asked if I was Muslim. Upon my confirmaiton, he shared there's a row of Halal food about 3-4 streets away which I can check out.
- I wanted to but there was no one to go with me.
- I remember telling my ex-colleagues turn friend Nigel I want to go on my own and he rejected me outright saying no lol
- Amba Hotel was also conveniently located in the middle of shopping area which makes it easier to go back and forth for shopping, rest and shopping again.
The night scene was more happening. When the rest were all going clubbing, I mentally made a note that I will stay back and explore the shopping area. It's just downstairs anyway.
Then one of my colleague whom was also my roommate asked what's my plan and we both decided to go explore + shopping since we both don't fancy going to clubs. She even asked if I was ok to stay out late night.
Of course I'm ok!! I think we came back hotel around 1+am that night.
The first night we stayed at this old buiding but with very huge bedroom for 2 pax and there's even a huge bath tub in the attached bathroom.
One queen sized bed each for 2 of us.
My savior. The food provided by the place looks good but I wasn't sure if it's Halal. Saw bread and toasted and I had like 4-5 pieces of toast for breakfast.
The rice paddy right outside where we stayed.
This was taken from inside the bus to one of the destination. It's one of my favourite photo I took in Taiwan. It just gives that calming effect.
We tried our hands to make chives pancakes.
City against the mountains. Being from the city, this scenery doesn't excite me much.
Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf. Nice photo from here but I remember the strong fishy smell from the sea as we tried to get closer to the water for photos.
Took bus ride up Jioufen and the view was majestic.
I wanna visit Taiwan again.
