I think we made the right choice to stay near to the city. Easy to return back to hotel each time nature calls! We got high level room that we requested and the view is pretty.
One of the night after we came back and we heard loud sound. Farah immediately told us it's the fireworks. She knew even though the curtains were drawn. And so we got to watch the fireworks.
Exploring Jonker Street and Bandar Hilir where the Red Dutch Square, A Famosa are located.
I'm honestly impressed that there's so many things to see and explore despite the small area.
Plenty of museum and it's open to public too though we didn't include that in our itinerary.
We were excited to visit the floating market and saw there's Pink Market nearby. Plenty of lights greeted us and there's only less than 5 food stalls that's opened. Quite a sad sight actually. I wonder how the stall owners felt with the limited number of patrons. Must be depressing to keep the stall open with no customer to serve.
The floating market was nowhere to be seen too. We heard prayer chant the moment we reached and knew something is not right. Some googling later and we found that the place closed temporarily.
Mocity did not disappoint. Played games though we lost. Hit each other with bumper car and I kept saying Sorry out loud while hitting others. At times I felt like I was in kdrama world where they usually show the ML and FL going to amusement park together 😂
Pantai Klebang and the numerous food and drink stalls. All the food are yummy but it's a challenge to eat while seated as there's big large crows flying around nearby.
The food we had:
Jonker 88 Laksa was nice. Different from the usual one we had. The chendol was mediocre.
Planned to have asam pedas at another place we saw on tiktok but it's quite far from where we are. Found a nearby place which has asam pedas telur and seafood. Food was good and the fishes fresh. Probably because it's Friday but there was no crowd which was nice.
The loyal companion who lingered around our tables and made itself comfortable.
